Is It Time to Come Back?

Summer Office Hours

The office hours from June 1st through August 31 will be 9AM - 2PM.  This is because there are not many calls or visitors after 2PM each day during the summer months.  This will help reduce our operating expenses, as our summer income is greatly reduced.  For more info call the office during normal summer hours

St. Joseph Pilgrimage

The parish is having a pilgrimage to St. Joseph of the Forrest Church on September 11th.   The pilgrimage will start at 9 AM and end at 2PM.  The pilgrimage is to honor and learn more about Saint Joseph.  What better place to do that then in a church dedicated to Saint Joseph.  The pilgrimage is limited to 40 people.  Due to health concerns, we will not be carpooling as a group from St. Jude to St. Joseph of the Forrest.  So, please meet us at St. Joseph of the Forrest Church by 9AM on Sep 11th.  You can sign up by calling the parish office during normal office hours.  It is a first come first served.  It is open to the whole family.  For more info email:  earlpalger@gmail.com.

Bible in a Year Podcast

Father Mike Schmitz is leading a Bible in a Year Podcast for 2021.  Fr. Mike will read and comment on scripture everyday until you have read the entire bible in 1 year.  Each day will be available on our website.  There is also a study guide for you to download. He will be joined by Jeff Cavins, world renown bible scholar.  Make 2021 specialRead the entire bible.  You can start HERE

Volunteers Needed

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS ARE NEEDED St. Jude is partnered with the Marion County Senior Services to provide volunteers to deliver meals every Thursday to the homebound in Marion Oaks. Your help would be needed only once per month. Meal pick up time is 10:00 AM at the Marion Oaks Community Center. Total delivery time is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Please see Cathy or call the parish office to sign up.

Anointing of the Sick Mass

We invite you to participate in the Anointing of the Sick Mass which will be celebrated on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:00PM, our next Mass is on August 3rd.  One may wonder what illnesses are considered serious enough to receive the Anointing of the Sick. Any physical, mental or spiritual problem are reasons to come receive the healing touch of the sacrament of the sick.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours.

Small Christian Community

The group meets every Tuesday at 1:00 PM in conference room 4 at the parish center.  Masks and social distancing is required.  If you would like to host a Small Christian Community meeting in English or Spanish, please call the parish office.

Our Catholic Appeal

Our parish goal this year is $ 38,784.  Over the past few weeks, we have prayed about, thought about and talked about the ministries supported by Our Catholic Appeal. Now it is time for all of us to share a portion of our treasure, so these ministries can continue. If you received your 2021 Our Catholic Appeal packet and made your pledge, thank you. If you have not yet made your pledge, please consider doing so today. By supporting the ministries of our diocese, every parish, including ours, is better equipped to carry out the work of Christ.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry needs the following items:  Canned Ravioli, Canned Spaghetti, Canned Baked Beans, Canned Stew, Canned Chili, Canned Chicken, Tuna, Ham and Spam, Pasta Sauce, Coffee, Pancake Mix and Syrup, Canned Fruit, Boxed Mash Potatoes and Personal Hygiene Items to include laundry detergent.  Please put your items in the large wooden box on your right as you enter the church.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours.
