Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary

Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary will meet every third Saturday of the month at 10 AM. Next meeting will be on October 16th at St Jude Catholic Community.

Serving the Lord

We are looking for young people and committed families to participate in the different ministries of the Mass Choir, Ushers, Lectors, Altar Server (Altar Boys), Pass the Power Point, pantry helper Interested parties, please call the parish office or look for the leaders of the different ministries for more information.

Knights of Columbus Cook-Out

Knights of Columbus will be having a 2 day cook-out on Saturday, Oct 23rd from 5-8PM and then again on Sunday, Oct 24th from 2-4PM.  The meal will be Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, beans, chips and fruit salad, water or soda.  Tickets will be available after every Mass until the day of the event.  Ticket Cost: $7.  See any Knight for your tickets.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours.

Pease call Betty Rodriguez at the church office 352-347-0154, select the Liturgy office prompt, to schedule all baptisms, funerals, weddings and Quinceaneras. For baptisms, please call at least one month in advance. 4 weddings and Quinceaneras please call at least six months in advance. Thank you

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat - October 31st

The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a Trunk or Treat on October 31st from 5 - 7PM in the church parking lot.  Here is your chance to dress up in your costume and start the evening with a trip from car to car collecting goodies for your basket or bag.  Only Treats. - NO TRICKS.  If you are interested in "opening your trunk" to our parish families, talk to any Knight or Lady Knight and they will be glad to include you in the evening's fun.  Remember to decorate your trunks. . PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED (no - no prizes will be awarded)  Just wanted to know how far down the announcement you had gotten.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours

Bible in a Year Podcast

Father Mike Schmitz is leading a Bible in a Year Podcast for 2021.  Fr. Mike will read and comment on scripture everyday until you have read the entire bible in 1 year.  Each day will be available on our website.  There is also a study guide for you to download. Volunteers Needed

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS ARE NEEDED St. Jude is partnered with the Marion County Senior Services to provide volunteers to deliver meals every Thursday to the homebound in Marion Oaks. Your help would be needed only once per month. Meal pick up time is 10:00 AM at the Marion Oaks Community Center. Total delivery time is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Please see Cathy or call the parish office to sign up.

Wives Do What?!

Wives Do What?! -  Video Study on Ephesians 5

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord”. Anointing of the Sick Mass

We invite you to participate in the Anointing of the Sick Mass which will be celebrated on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:00PM, our next Mass is on November 2nd.  One may wonder what illnesses are considered serious enough to receive the Anointing of the Sick. Any physical, mental or spiritual problem are reasons to come receive the healing touch of the sacrament of the sick.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours.


Parish meeting/event calendar 2022

All ministry and organization leaders please email your 2022 calendar to the parish office no later than October 29th, 2021. Any meeting, event, practice or gathering to be held in the parish meeting rooms, parish hall and on the parish grounds needs to be on the parish calendar.  Please email the details, including dates and times to  Thank You

Thanksgiving Food Drive

As we prepare our grocery lists, let us remember that we should find some way to “feed the hungry” in our midst. This year our Confirmation candidates, as a service project, will be handing out paper bags with a list of items needed to fill the bags for our families that seek assistance at our food pantry. The bags will be distributed on Oct 30/31, after all Masses. Please return the bags by Nov14 and drop in the Saint Teresa of Calcutta food collection box. Families will receive the Thanksgiving food bag on Nov 18 along with a turkey.  We thank you for your continued support. And, please, keep our families in need in your daily prayers.

Small Christian Community

The group meets every Tuesday at 1:00 PM in conference room 4 at the parish center.  Masks and social distancing is required.  If you would like to host a Small Christian Community meeting in English or Spanish, please call the parish office.

Food Pantry

Once again, the St. Jude Food Pantry is requesting assistance with the restocking of our parish food pantry. These items include (but not limited to): Coffee, Tea, Creamer, Jell-O, Pudding, Mac and Cheese Dried Beans/Peas/Lentils, Canned Yams, Rice, Jelly, Pasta, Cooking Oil (Olive or Canola), Hygiene items and Paper goods.  Please put your items in the large wooden box on your right as you enter the church.  For more info call the parish office during normal office hours.
